Happy Emergency Nurses Week!
As we celebrate Emergency Nurses Week, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the extraordinary work you do each day. Your resilience and unwavering commitment make a difference in the lives of patients and families during some of their most challenging moments.
This week we honor the dedication and compassion of nurses across the state
from the most prominent academic hospitals to the smallest critical access hospitals. Together we have faced patient volumes that continue to rise every day. Through it all, Illinois Emergency Nurses have risen to every challenge.
Throughout the challenges, we also celebrate our accomplishments as a state council. This year, eight Illinois hospitals achieved the prestigious Lantern Award, and Illinois earned the State Council Achievement Award. These accomplishments highlight the dedication to emergency nursing by all of you.
On behalf of the Illinois ENA board of directors, thank you for the work that you do. We may not all work together, but we face the same challenges. We see you; we hear you and appreciate you above all else.
I look forward to the coming year and hope to meet many of you at the Spring Symposium on April 24 and 25, 2025 as we return to Lisle, where we can share our knowledge and experiences and network with each another.
For those current members, and those new to the organization, we encourage you to use this next year to become involved by attending a state council meeting or joining a committee. Every member is welcome.
Happy Emergency Nurses Week; take this week to celebrate YOU and the important work you do each day. Together we can continue to advance our profession and improve the health of the communities we serve.
